If you are considering a safari with Andrew, my wife and I just returned from our third safari (July 2022) with Andrew. If that tells you anything.

As on every other trip with Andrew it was a most enjoyable experience! Hunting with Andrew is like hunting with your friends’ back home. His trophy judging abilities and the fact that he won’t let you shoot an inferior animal insures that you will have trophies to be proud of when the taxidermy arrives at your home.

On this trip I darted a Rhino. Certainly a different kind of hunt. What an adrenaline rush, being next to such a large animal that is still very much alive.

We hunted at two different locations (near Kimberly and close to Port Elizabeth). The scenery was fabulous. Sand dunes and the Indian Ocean in the background. I was able to experience the extremes in hunting animals of different sizes from the huge Cape Buffalo to the tiny Duiker. Different kinds of hunts for sure. Each hunt with its own unique set of challenges. We even had time for a fishing trip in the Indian Ocean.

The accommodations and food were top notch. My wife and I are foodies so the chance to experience South African cuisine was a real treat. We had game from the hunt most meals. On the unusual side, we had Zebra steaks and they were fantastic! Not to forget the excellent ceviche (fish from our fishing trip). The evening meals were a time to reflect on the days hunting experience with the other hunters and their PH at the lodge.

We are already talking about another trip. This time we want to bring our children and their spouse

It was a great Safari. All were exceptional Animals and a few studs. Very happy with all 13 I shot & the 11 shot by my buddy Jeff Cowan. We were fortunate to harvest all our animals by day 7 of a 10 Day safari. This speaks to the quality of our PH’s, Trackers, Staff, retrieval team, skinners and of course the animals available. I have been hunting with Andrew Harvey for ten days in May. It is hard to remember how many times we hunted together, since our first safari on 2002.
And indeed it has been outstanding. Andrew performed nearly to perfection and he made my dream come true.
We were going to Kwazulu Natal in my search of the Tiny Ten antelopes. In this occasion I was looking for the Natal Red Duiker, being this small antelope the seventh out of my list of ten. Nearly getting to the sunset, and after four days of intensive stalking with no success at all, Andrew took the decision to move to the right place at the right moment. Incredibly good intuition that Andrew had and after walking for some twenty minutes, he spotted a big the Red Duiker Ram.
I had a few seconds to shoot, and that was more than enough. It was so exciting and I got it!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my second hunting trip with Andrew Harvey Safaris. Andrew is very professional and has a wealth of knowledge with regard to hunting and game. Although he will hunt to the physical condition of the hunter, I specifically asked for a very challenging hunt. Between the Nyala, Eland and the Vaal Rhebok, we hiked, ran, and crawled untold numbers of miles over hill and dale. After all that climbing, my hiking boots finally quit on me once and for all. But, I certainly felt as though I earned every animal. Perhaps, the best part is just getting to know the wonderful people in South Africa. I have visited or lived in something like 30 countries now and consider South Africa to be my favourite by a long shot. The game is wonderful, the hunting is challenging, the food and wine are spectacular, but the people make it unforgettable. Thanks so much Andrew, Spunky, Storm, and Hunter and I look forward to our next Adventure.

About seven years ago I met Andrew through some friends from Ducks Unlimited. We immediate hit it off and I knew my hunt of a life time was going to be with him. Family issues kept me from going until my wife booked the hunt for my sixty first birthday. All I can say is why did it take me so long to get here and when can I go back.
The animals taken and the accommodations were truly outstanding. I took eleven animals, with a great story behind each. Hunting was challenging and the country was beautiful. I cannot think of one thing that could have made the hunt any better. I know a dozen people who have hunted with Andrew and they all feel the same way as I do.
When I return to Africa it will be to hunt with Andrew.

This was my second safari with Andrew. This time I came with a customized wish list. Andrew worked tirelessly to accomplish my goals. Once again the game was abundant. But Andrew only accepts true trophy specimens for his clients. The stalks were all challenging and exciting and I did acquire a trophy in every instance. My list included Bontebok, White Springbok, White Blesbok, Sable Antelope, Giraffe and Waterbuck. The highlight of my trip was an extended hunt for a Sable in the Camdeboo highlands – under some very difficult weather conditions. Despite sparse cover, Andrew was able to work us into a position for me to take a 259 yard shot at a huge bull. And we succeeded!

We stayed at some new locations for my second safari. The accommodations and food were once again excellent. And the people were always warm and friendly. Peter had retired. But Andrew’s new tracker, Spunky, and all of the local trackers, were professional and eager to assist.

We completed my list with plenty of time to spare. For a little break from the chase, Andrew took me to the annual premier rugby game at his alma mater. Andrew’s school was victorious and the partying at the local watering hole lasted well into the night.

Before I left, Andrew and I were already discussing my next safari. Of course there will be a third trip. Thanks again Andrew for the great time.

My first African safari was a dream come true thanks to Andrew and his extraordinary ability to identify and deliver quality trophies. Having previously only hunted mostly whitetail deer in South Texas, the excitement of spotting and stalking plains game was an entirely new and sporting challenge. There was an adventure and story behind each animal that I harvested. The lodging, meals and service were simply icing on the cake. Andrew also made my wife, hardly an outdoors girl, feel right at home in the African bush. We managed to complete the hunt with a day to spare, which allowed her to shoot her own animals….with the camera. Thanks again for an amazing, memorable trip in your beautiful, bountiful country. We will be back!

The lodging, food and staff members were all FIVE STAR service!! Andrew was my PH and let me say, this guy knows his business. He put me on every animal on my list and we even added more, ALL of which were above average and all made the record book. He wants you to get trophy quality and will wait for the right ones with GREAT judgement and honourable ethics. I had the time of my life and cannot wait to return again in the future with my wife this time!! Thank You Andrew for a PERFECT dream hunt. By far the best hunt I have ever been on and I have been on many!!!
